Online Banking Kiosk FAQs

iBank
iBank is a complete interactive kiosk solution that helps customers help themselves

How can an online banking kiosk be of value to my financial institution?
There are a number of benefits. One is the increased use of online banking. Studies have shown that customers who hesitated to use online banking, but had the opportunity to use it in the branch environment, were later more likely to use online banking in the future.

In addition, an online banking kiosk frees up tellers from mundane tasks—like check reorders, transfers and balance checks—and even gives customers an easy way to start the loan application process. And online banking kiosks can be an excellent way to promote your institution’s products and/or services.

My tellers don’t have time to teach each customer how to use the iBank. How much training does the kiosk require?
The iBank is very intuitive and easy to use. Screen prompts easily guide the user.

Should the kiosk be inside the lobby, or in an outer corridor?
If your branch has space in an outer corridor that’s always accessible—say, where an ATM is located—it can be a good idea to put your kiosk there. This allows your customers to use it on a 24/7 basis, even when your branch is closed.

Our customers might not be comfortable having their financial information on display. How does the ibank kiosk address this?
There are a number of ways. The system gives the user the option to log out of their personal information and if they forget, the kiosk has a sensor that can detect when the customer is no longer near the unit. The kiosk will automatically log the customer out and clear system memory. You can also add an optional privacy filter that makes the screen appear black if it’s not viewed head-on.

I don’t want to tie up the kiosk with people who are just coming in to surf the Net.
The iBank kiosk is designed to block transactions outside your Web site.

How can we prove that customers are actually using the kiosk?
iBank includes a usage report function that allows you to track how many customers are using the kiosk, and which parts of your site they’re viewing.

How difficult is it to update content?
It’s very easy to make changes. Just send file updates to iBank and they’ll take care of the rest.

How much floor space does a kiosk require?
The footprint is quite small: 2 ft. x2 ft.
